Purchased and activated a new LG L164VL in October 2018. Two months later, phone went dead.

I returned it to TracFone for warranty replacement since an LG phone comes with a ONE YEAR MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY on PARTS & LABOR. TracFone sends me back a refurb phone with 90-days warranty!! Getting a refurb on a 2-month old phone is bad enough, but what happens to the remaining 7 months of manufacturers warranty I'm supposed to have? This cannot be legal.

I have tried numerous phone calls, which were all escalated to "managers" and everyone gives me "sorry, that's our policy" and "sorry there's nothing I can do". One agent even put me on hold and never came back. Are you kidding me? If I knew I was going to be ripped off in this way, I would have NEVER sent my phone to them for warranty replacement.

I even reached out to LG to let them know that TracFone is not honoring their manufacturer's warranty on their product in the hopes that they may intercede, but I got a lot of "we have an agreement with TracFone" and "I can't change the policy" nonsense from them which basically looks like LG is totally complicit in ripping off consumers and not honoring their warranty, or perhaps they just don't care. Think twice and then think again if you're contemplating purchasing a TracFone OR an LG product!
