Annual Renew for 12 months on a basic flip phone
Javier Andres Customer Service at Tracfone via my "chat" with Tracfone advised I could not have a basic flip phone to replace my current. I would need to buy a $200 phone and lose my double minutes for life.
I've been a Tracfone customer for over 10 years and was distressed Mr.
Andres at Tracfone would just so quickly use words like "try it" or "okay" or "do it".
I have printed the chat Mr Andres and I had - I would be okay to attach it this email if others are experiencing these problems with Tracfone renewals when they have double minutes for life.
I'm a rather tiny 600 minutes/year user that just signs for 365 use card since it's so much easier then fussing w/monthly.
I am unsure, but Verizon took over Tracfone? Does Verizon know how Tracfone Customer Service Reps are just telling their customers - "sorry to hear that"; "too bad"?
I don't need a smartphone - just a basic phone I can use in case of emergency.
Tracfone offered me a phone for $199.99. I give up.

I am totally DISGUSTED with Tracfone. I would definitely not recommend them.
My service is Supposed to be Walmart Family Mobile (T -Mobile.) I have had my service over 10 years and I am a Senior Citizen. They have messed up my account over a year,especially since Walmart Family Mobile (forced customers) switched to Verizon.Next I purchased a new (Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus) in Nov. 2022. Going through the process of changing to Verizon was a BIG MESS and changing to my new phone was a bigger MESS.
Every agent was from another Country and could not speak understandable English! I spent HOURS on the phone trying to get both change overs processed! My Services have been having bigger troubles since September 2023 due to their untrained, little experienced, poor English speaking agents. They were making unauthorized adjustments and not able to correct their mistakes, causing problems with my synced devices etc..
I have never missed a payment or been late. Yet there are constant problems that inconvenienced my overall life, business, and medical needs. (too many to list) Furthermore, I've noticed several other people from several different states (on Yelp) had the same issues with this company (Tracfone) as me. I am moving from this HORRIBLE TRACFONE, Walmart Family Mobile, and Verizon as soon as possible.
ALL of the 3 are not credible, in my opinion.
I would recommend that people should Not use this company.
Based on my ACTUAL EXPERIENCES. I would give a 0 rating if I could.
Preferred solution: A LIVE AGENT FROM CORP. TO LISTEN TO MY CONCERN AND GET MY SERVICE AND ACCOUNT CORRECTED AND COMPENSATE ME FOR THE OVER A YEAR OF INCONVENIENCES AND LOSS OF MY SERVICE.

They are thieves!!! Once you leave them you can't remove your credit card from them online or on the phone! Called twice to have credit card removed and they hung up on me both times. They kept saying I had to verify my account, which I did, expect then they wanted to send me a text to verify on a phone & phone number I no longer have and a service (from them) that I no longer have!
Oh it gets better, then they said verify your email address. So I told them my email address and agreed it was the same. Then proceeded to babble nonsense about I had to verify my account,. Yup you guessed it, they just kept repeating the same thing over and over.
Then they said, finish setting up your account and call back! WHAT!!! I have had an account with them for YEARS!!!
So I said "ok tell me how to finish setting up I'm logged into my account right now, tell me what you need me to do." She then proceeds to say ok this is what you need to do ... and hangs up on me.
THIS HAPPENED BOTH TIMES I CALLED.
One of them told me I need to contact my credit card company...what am I suppose to do dispute the charge every month!
They will not remove my credit card, so now I had to cancel my card over their thievery.
They are either extremely stupid or thieves. My guess is thieves.
Oh and they talk over everything you say, trying to confuse you into believing there nonsense *** Maybe that's why they hung up on me because I called them out on the *** babble.

Device swap
4 days, 6 different people, almost 6 hours on the phone. They still couldn't do a device swap. Sad..

Ordered a Phone and it never arrived. There was a tracking number for UPS but when I tried to put a claim in with UPS, but I was unable to because they never received a phone to ship.
I made dozens of calls - most of which ended in disconnects before I could get anything accomplished.
I believe they were intentionally hanging up on me. I also tried online chat and email to resolve the issue.
I was finally issued a ticket for a refund after several weeks which took over a week to process.
All in all it took about a month to get a refund and I still can't understand why they just didn't send me a phone. In the end there was no way I would ever want to do business with them after this experience.

Preferred solution: My service I already had restored and the original mobile Hotspot activated that I originally called for. It just keeps getting worse. My cellphone should not be turned off right now at all. That's not even what I called about to begin with.

- Rude dishonest completely non customer sensibilities
Preferred solution: I want what I paid for, Galaxy A54 dual sim, esim capabilities. It was unlocked but it just did not work. So I returned it, and now they have 900 excuses of why they can't send me another or reimburse me.
User's recommendation: Stay far away from these people. Rude, liars, and honestly, do not know what they are doing. I don't know how they're still in business.
