I am sending this message because this company has taken my phone service and money from my account and didnt provide service for the full 30 day they were paid for and they took money from my bank account that was not returned I have filled a complaint with the bbb and the fcc about this company and I will be filing a 1983

Poor service

My phone is down since December 24 being on the line with customer service for more than 3 hours they still ca not figure out the problem. Now they escalated the issue and need to wait 72 hours.

Stupidity of Tracfone repeated & unnecessary text/email "reminders"

Again, this month, I got a text saying monthly payment was nearly due, THEN a text reminding that auto payment was about due, AND an email that payment would happen, AND THEN a text that it had happened. TODAY I got text thanking me for "recent transaction"! Had to call Customer Service because there WAS NO RECENT TRANSACTION! Had to apologize, repeatedly, to Representative Lynette, for the tone and loudness I used trying to express the STUPIDITY and aggravation of something that was supposed to be AUTOMATIC! Are you really technology sound? Does "automatic" mean anything close to not being necessary to repeatedly bringing it up? It does NOT inspire confidence! Notice the ALL CAPS? I am so close to bagging this "relationship" with Tracfone because it is too dumb to be trusted. Have a nice day.

Locked SIM card

I purchased minutes from Tracfone using my iPhone that was unlocked. The service was prepaid in full. My purchased minutes expired and I wanted to change providers but the new provider could not provide service because the phone was locked. Tracfone is holding my phone hostage! If I want to use my iPhone it must be through Tracfone. I have contacted them several times their response "It is company policy to lock the phone forever". I Have lost the purchase price of my iPhone unless I use their service.

To warn people not to use Tracfone

I'm trying to change from Tracfone to another company. I was told by several Tracfone agents that my phone was unlocked. When I went to transfer to the new company I was told my phone was locked. Once again called Tracfone and agent assured me phone was unlocked and phone number was transferred. Called new company and nope it was still locked. Called Tracfone this morning and another agent says she would refer me to the unlocking dept. and they tell me it takes 48 hours (work hours) for it to be unlocked. Today is 12/23, Tracfone is off tomorrow and Christmas and with weekend, the phone will not be unlocked until Tuesday of next week. I'd been a Tracfone customer for over 10 years and this is how customers are treated. STAY AWAY FROM TRACFONE.

Purchased a Tracfone, 2 months ago. When I make a call and I have to press a #, to speak to someone, there is NO, keyboard!!! Phone starts blinking, off and on!!!

TracFone disabled a recently purchased phone without notice

I had been using a phone number for more than four years. The screen my phone got cracked so I ordered a new phone and asked for my number to be transferred to the new device. I made two calls on the new device, then TracFone disabled my access to the phone number. The company says it got a call from another customer saying the transfer of the number was not authorized even though I was the customer using the number for more than four years. They are demanding documentation of proof of purchase. They say it will take up to five business days to verify. How the company could not perform a simple transaction of transferring the number to a new device is astonishing.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. TF sent me a brand new model of same phone sent in for replacement..

After going thru 4 SIM cards in 3 months,I called to return for a replacement phone.It is now 6 days since they have received the defective phone.I have NOT gotten my replacement phone yet.I have called and chatted with the *** who 'work' there.I was told 3-5 days after they received the defective phone that I would receive new one.NOW they tell me 7-10 days.It took a total of one month to get this issue resolved.

Internet Connection

This is going to be a little difficult to explain because I have misplaced all my information. My phone number is 207-702-**** and I have to add minutes Feb 2021. My problem is I have done something wrong. It keeps saying 'No Internet Connection' Check your network connection. I use. Firefox, Google, and Outlook on my computer and have Spectrum on my TV, landline, and computer internet. My computer internet connection is working fine. Like I mentioned I don't have the make or model of my TracFone but it is a Smartphone model. (lots smarter than me) but that is why I hope you can help me with the internet connection. I can't find the menu button anymore. I appreciate your step by step help. John Nelligan
