Tracfone sent my husband a free reconditioned phone and after they took all the information, which was the IME numbers and the SIM card numbers, he decided on purchasing a plan. They charged his charge card and tried to activate the phone and it could not be activated because the SIM card was registered to someone else!

They then refused to give a refund!

We are contesting it with our credit card company. They should have issued a refund immediately!

User's recommendation: DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR FREE PHONES!
