Loss of service for 10 days on my two tracfone's. All my remaining usage minutes have been deleted.
Although I have 300 + days remaining on my account.
Have been through 7 Tracfone Tech support personnel (Amando, Melliasa ,Jennifer, Novcelys, Ricky, Lito) without any resolution.
The strategy seems to be to run through their playbook of buttons to press and when that fails to claim it is a network issue and will be corrected in 2- 24 hours and I will receive a call back from tracfone. THIS NEVER HAPPENS>

My mother's yearly contract renews February 22 each year. On February 3rd I paid for a year of renewal.
The device which we bought 6 months before at Best Buy, broke on February 5th, 2024, so I ran out to BB to buy a new phone. By the time I returned home to set up the phone, it was NOT listed and considered by TRACFONE to have NEVER existed (so Customer Service said).
On other social media sites, people who only have ONE phone on their account - who have experienced a cancellation - even with their bill paid and days, weeks or months remaining on their contract didn't have proof and didn't have a second phone on their account so they were unable to see the list of OLD IMEI numbers from previous phones.
I am fortunate in that I have two separate phone contracts on the same account.
I have a second Tracfone on the account - a smartphone for another family elder in a nursing home so I was able to go to my account since that one was renewed in December 2023.
On the website I retrieved the old IMEI number of my mothers phone which they said NEVER EXISTED. I also retrieved a copy of the credit card payment made for renewing the one year contract two days before.
Tracfone said they had NO RECORD of a still active account that would have expired had I NOT paid on February 22, 2024, but which I did pay on February 3, 2024. On February 5th, two days after I paid in full for an additional year and BEFORE the expiration date of the contract - they told me they had NO RECORD of the existence of my phone!!!
How does that occur in these times of COMPUTER DATA COLLECTION???
In just two days they claimed to have NO RECORD of the number!
I spent 8 days - about 3 to 5 hours each day - calling tech support and going over this over and again until I got the number restored, connected to the new phone.
There is STILL (now in March 2024) a discrepancy between the numbers of minutes I see remaining on the website - vs the number that comes up when request a text message telling me the remaining time on the account.
Because of their continued lack of records I have either printed my record every month from a computer, but now since the website is inaccurate - I take a photo of the phone screen after texting 611611 to get an accurate record of my account and of remaining minutes.
I've requested a NUMBER OF TIMES for their tech support to accurately post my remaining minutes on the website account.
Tracfone continues to SAY they will make the corrections, but they NEVER do it. Not yet. Not so far.
This is an "EMERGENCY" phone and we don't use a lot of minutes. We've accumulated a LOT of minutes over time and do not want to lose those minutes.
The company is attractive because of it's low cost and yearly contract.
We didn't have these kinds of ridiculous problems until VERIZON bought the company. The FCC should do something to make them at least KEEP ACCURATE RECORDS of customers, CUSTOMER PAYMENTS and stop them from trying to cheat customers out of minutes that are paid for.

Verified Buyer |TracFone refuse to cancel an order that had not yet shipped to the wrong address.
I purchased online a phone and plan for my granddaugter who lives in a different city from me and paid for expedited shipping. However, moments later, I felt that I had the wrong shipping address on that order.
So as not to lose any shipping and delivery time, . I reordered the same phone and plan with the correct address also with expedited shipping and attempted to cancel the first order. Tracfone refuse to cancel the order, telling me that I have to refuse the package and get a refund. But if the package is being delivered to my granddaughter while she is at school; how will anyone refuse the package and if the first order was shipped to the wrong address, who is the party expected to refuse the shippment?
Really there should be some way to cancel an incorrect order before it is shipped! And given the fact that I reordered, the company was not losing any business. So frustrating'; I was on the phone and on chat for hours to no avail.
I think I will cancel with my credit card company and just not do business with TRACFONE! To boot, they did not honor their 15% discount code: WELCOME15 as sent to me in an email offer that same day!

On Jan 23 2024 i had a problem with a tracfone. We spent 2 hours on the phone with them trying to fix this .
The phone was locked up & could not be unlocked or even turned off . Finally the tracfone agent said to they would send a shipping label to return it and then they would send a replacement phone. First, they repeatedly sent an emails that did not include the link to print the label, or a QR code. Although there was a ticket number attached, UPS would not take it.
So I myself paid to have the phone shipped back on Jan 23 2024. They received it on Jan 24 2024. It is now Feb 20 2024. I have been calling repeatedly , and every time they say they are waiting for a replacement phone to send me.
I think they are waiting for *** to freeze over. I call every 3-5 business days. I get transferred 2 or 3 times and have to repeat my story each time. Every time they say I am so sorry and I will escalate the ticket.
They are like robots, programmed with the same phrase : call back in 3 to 5 days. We have 3 tracfone accounts including this one which go back more than 10 years. They don't care that we will cancel them all. They've always had customer service problems, but nothing like this.
They may give a good price, but it's not worth this . If they weren't going to replace to the phone, okay, just say so. Don't drag this on for almost a month now.
They refuse to let me talk to a supervisor or to the Warehouse on whom they blame the problem. They say they cannot send back the broken phone I sent to them.

I own 3 Tracfone cell phones (2 iPhones and an LG flip phone ) purchased from Tracfone. For the last week I have been unable to use any of the 3 phones due to No Service indication.
I have contacted 8 different technicians at Tracfone during this period without any resolution. In the course of trying to fix the problem they deleted the minutes in my account and have been unable to restore the account.

Verified Reviewer |Tracfone deleted my usage, again (Third time)
Two weeks after Tracfone restored my missing large balances they disappeared again, the third time! When not able to make a call or send a text I checked my balances (usage) - all zeros (Mins:0 SMS: 0 Data: 0.) again!
Nothing changed on my end, they just disappeared. This is the third time in the past three months that my usage was deleted. It may not have been intentional but the fact that Tracfone will not confirm my missing balances or validate my proof and restore ticks me off. I offered several means of proof to no avail.
Multiple attempts to get my large balances (usage) restored through their support were fruitless.
Total waste of time. Finally, someone from Tracfone's ERD Management contacted me, and promised to restore my missing balances but may take upwards of a week. The week came and went, but my balances were never restored. More lies!
I estimated the loss of those balances at around $900.00. Maybe it is time to get the AG involved or just give the finger to Tracfone and move on.
User's recommendation: Do your research before doing business with Tracfone. Trust the negative reviews like mine. Things may not change now that Tracfone is under Verizon's roof.

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: TracFone reset all my Mins Text and Data to zero's
Missing 9 year rollover balances have been restored by Tracfone.
I asked TF to go back and check my balances but they won't. I offered to send them proof (611611 Balances and screen captures of my balances from within my TF account) but not interested. I escalated this to their ERD Management team who were supposed to assist in cases like this and offered to help but didn't. I am not optimistic that I will ever recover those balances.
I estimated my losses at between $800-$900.00. I can now see why Tracfone has a ONE-STAR rating with the BBB.
Future Tracfone users should take notice. Once my plan expires, I will not renew.

Suddenly Tracfone SIM stopped working. Got a new SIM, and when they entered the new SIM validation in their system, they FAILED to transfer the old minutes, text, and data.
Called back and the agents at phillipines did not help and transferred to a manager.
This happenned 3 times and totally I spent about 3 hours on the phone. They did not fix their error.
Poor customer service, and an organization that is not trustworthy.

Hi, this is my third pissed consumer review and nothing still has been done. They give me 2 ticket numbers and promised that something will get done and thy will call me when they are finished looking into my problem.NEVER HAPPENED.
I waisted my time.I told them to go to tracfonewireless.com and my phone number isnt even listed under my account. They ask me the same questions every time, ask me for my outgoing phone numbers over the last 60 days.
I gave all 18 agents the same 45 numbers and they dont have any records of them.They ask me what my first car was and they tell me that isnt my first car.I just want to talk to an American in the USA to get something done but they dont seem to want to help a 15 plus year customer.If you can find one that wants to help have them call ma at 740-795-****. I wont hold my breath.
