TracFone promotes on its website, on the product packaging, and in the product instruction booklets, that up to 10 dedicated 800 numbers will be provided free of charge for Frequently Called Long DIstance calls to any of a specific list of destinations. Other than a seperate number for International Long Distance calls placed from Hawaii, TracFone does not make exception for their Frequently Called Long Distance numbers program".

After spending more than 6 hours in 5 telephone calls to TracFone service people , and each advising that the "problem is fixed and will be operational within 24 to 48 hours"/. Now, in response to e-mails to TracFone management, TracFone has advised that the Frequently Called Long Distance numbers are not available to Hawaii customers?.

TracFone is well aware that my 3 TracFones are located in Hawaii because of my registered address and 808 area code numbers/. It appears that the TracFone service people are either uninformed or incompetent, or that the company knowingly misrepresented its service;. Oddly, TracFone's registration and assignment of the Frequently Called Long Distance Numbers are registered and confirmed on the website whether entered on line or by their service people,.

The latest message from TracFone simply brushed off the failure to meet their promoted service, by stating the "We could not provide any soultion for now since frequent numbers are not applicable to your origin of call.. If there should be any updates as to when it will be available in Hawaii, we will have that posted on our website as soon as possible"/. In short, they have said, "we know we can't provide the service but who cares." 1298117
